Kevin T. Leftwich joined Ajubita, Leftwich & Salzer, L.L.C. in August, 2012, after practicing in Washington, D.C. since 2007. He received both his law degree and Masters in Taxation from New York University School of Law, where he was awarded the NYU Tax Policy Fellowship for his outstanding dedication in the field of tax policy. Mr. Leftwich was also a member and editor for the law school’s Environmental Law Journal. Prior to Joining Ajubita, Leftwich & Salzer, he was an associate in the Washington, DC offices of Nixon Peabody, LLP and Scribner, Hall & Thompson, LLP.
Mr. Leftwich works primarily in commercial law, with an emphasis in taxation and commercial transactions. His practice includes advising clients on federal and state tax law, corporate and business law and real estate transactions. He has extensive experience in transactional matters, including negotiating, structuring, and drafting complex merger and acquisition transactions. He advises clients on tax credit and tax advantaged matters, and has represented equity investors, lenders, community development entities and developers in historic tax credit, new markets tax credit, renewable energy tax credit and opportunity zone transactions.
Prior to graduating from law school, Mr. Leftwich received his B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University.
